Why you need to feed your immune system cells?
Immune boosters work in many ways. They increase the number of white cells in the immune system army, train them to fight better, and help them form an overall better battle plan. Boosters also help to eliminate the deadwood in the army, substances that drag the body down. One of the top nutrients to add to your family's diet to cut down on days missed from work or school is Vitamin C.
Vitamin C tops the list of immune boosters for many reasons. It's naturally available in fruits and vegetables. Also, you can buy a vitamin-C-fortified version of just about anything.
Vitamin C increases the production of infection-fighting white blood cells and antibodies and increases levels of interferon, the antibody that coats cell surfaces, preventing the entry of viruses. Vitamin C reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by raising levels of HDL (good) cholesterol while lowering blood pressure and interfering with the process by which fat is converted to plaque in the arteries. As an added perk, persons whose diets are higher in vitamin C have lower rates of colon, prostate, and breast cancer.
You don't have to take in massive amounts of vitamin C to boost your immune system. Around 200 milligrams a day seems to be a generally agreed-upon amount and one that can be automatically obtained by eating at least six servings of fruits and vegetables a day.
My choice to be sure that all the other important nutrients can synergize the benefits of Vitamin C is to take a wholefood supplement based on important land and sea superfoods.
My immune system benefits are too valuable to take for granted or leave to chance.

WHY BUILD A STRONGER IMMUNE SYSTEM
Note that your cells also deal with an increasingly toxic world. There are harmful chemicals in the soil, water and air as well as preservatives and chemicals in processed food. In the last 50 years, more than 75000 chemicals have been introduced into our environment.
Understand that 60 to 80% of the lymphatic system is located in your small intestine in order to signal and respond to substances or organisms that could threaten your health. It can be said that both life and death begin in the colon and its assimilation of proper or improper nutrients.
More scientists note that the state of the immune system in the development of diseases is more important than exposure to toxins, viruses or bacteria. "Bad" cells can only take root when some factor, genetic or environment, has suppressed the function of the immune system to police the cells There is a shift in the medical paradigm to a "multi-targeted" therapy aimed at stimulating the body's own immune system rather than "monotherapy" using one substance to treat a single symptom. It's no longer reasonable to assume that a single substance, pill or drug can aid all the body's interdependent systems.
Whole foods work synergistically with 1000's of nutrients. If you feel that you're not eating a diet of recommended fruits aand vegetables, then consider a whole food natural supplement to boost your immune system naturally.

How to Boost Your Immune System
Hi,
Are you turning the summer corner into a fall stretch? I hope you had an excellent summer but too soon now, it is time to focus on different things, school and cooler weather.
I sometimes dreaded the coming of the wet fall season and winter months because it often meant colds and flus, increased fatigue, and quarantining my children so they wouldn't "catch" whatever was in the air or in a handshake. Then, if they did, the nagging coughs would last through the night made worse with stuffy noses and head aches...more sleeplessness to add to stress levels...
Of course, I'm sure we have all tried different treatments...the aspirins, the zinc lozenges, the menthol rubs, the Vitamin C and B12 pills, the over the counter cough medicines. Lately, the safety and side effects of some of these medications became questionable. I desperately wanted to find something as a natural alternative to prevent these low functioning immune problems in the first place.
I'm sure some of these chalIenges are not unlike those you're facing yourself. I know how it feels to have nagging worries about balancing proper nutrients whether through diet or supplements. And more nagging worries about how to keep my children and/or elderly parents healthy, especially through the flu season.
Like me, you've probably asked yourself:
---why a strong immune system is so important in fighting germs
---what are the differences between active and low functioning immune systems
---what are some ways to boost my immune system
---are there specific natural foods with immune enhancing qualities to build resistance to an ever increasing toxic environment...
But it's not like that for me anymore.
Let me know what you think.
